SAVINGS BETWEEN THE BIG DECISIONS

Save without switching.
Move when it makes sense.

Your current plan may already hold useful value. Kinch is being built to help you use it, spot changes before value slips away and reassess market options as information updates. When a worthwhile action is supported, you decide what Kinch can handle.

01 / USE WHAT YOU HAVE

Make the most of your plan.

Identify useful features, relevant benefits and better ways to use your existing products — including your actual electricity tariff windows.

02 / KEEP THE VALUE

Catch changes early.

Watch for changing rates, expiring promotions, fees and shifts in usage. Bring relevant actions to you before value slips away.

03 / IMPROVE THE OUTCOME

Move when it makes sense.

Assess keeping what fits, improving it with the same provider or moving elsewhere. Explain the overall benefit and handle supported actions you approve.

04 / FOLLOW THROUGH

Check the saving happened.

Confirm the action completed, check the resulting charges and keep monitoring. An estimate becomes useful when the benefit reaches you.

YOUR FINANCIAL LIFE, WORKING TOGETHER

One companion.
More ways to benefit.

Start with electricity. Build towards a connected understanding of the products, services and commitments that shape your household finances.

Electricity is the first product focus and is in development. Other categories are planned; data access, suitability and fulfilment must be established for each. General insurance and health insurance are part of the planned expansion. The longer-term vision also includes other loans, superannuation and household commitments.

CONNECTED WITH YOUR PERMISSION

Less uploading.
More looking out
for you.

With your permission, connected data could help Kinch keep looking for savings without repeatedly uploading bills. Kinch is being designed around Australia's Consumer Data Right (CDR) for supported banking and energy data.

Less uploading. Less starting over. While consent is active, supported connections can refresh the information Kinch needs — reducing repeated bill uploads and manual data entry.
A better understanding of you.Your actual arrangements, rates and usage can inform personalised opportunities as circumstances change.
Clear permission. Continuing control. You choose what to share and for how long. Permission to access data is separate from authority to act.

CDR is operational in banking and energy. Other categories, including NBN, mobile, general insurance and health insurance, need separately supported data sources. Kinch's participation pathway and live integrations are still being established.

ELECTRICITY FIRST

Your tariff.
Your habits.
Your advantage.

Electricity is the first proving ground: what you pay depends on your plan, when you use energy and what your household can realistically change. Kinch is designed to consider them together.

Useful at the right momentKnow when your actual plan gets cheaper. A flat-rate plan has no off-peak saving; timing prompts should reflect that.
Automation within your rulesSet reminders and, where devices support it, approve schedules that fit your routine. You choose the boundaries.
A better option, on your termsAssess the whole cost: usage, supply charges, solar, fees and eligibility. Staying can be the right result.

In development. Timely alerts follow your plan rules; live optimisation depends on supported data and device connections.

ONE TRUSTED RELATIONSHIP

Your companion.
Your say.

Convenience should come with clarity. These principles guide how we're building Kinch.

↗

Choose how much to automate.

Choose reminders, approve a proposed action or set rules for supported automation. Data access, device control and provider changes need separate authority.

◎

Understand the “why”.

See the expected net benefit, important trade-offs and how current the supporting information is. A lower headline rate is only part of the story.

⌁

Control stays with you.

See what was approved, what happened and what still needs attention. Pause supported automation or withdraw access when you choose.

INTELLIGENCE THAT FOLLOWS THROUGH

It understands.
It notices.
It gets things done.

This is the ambition of an agentic financial companion: it understands your arrangements, notices worthwhile opportunities and coordinates supported actions within the authority you give it.

Kinch should make it easier to use what you have, preserve the benefits that matter and act when a change improves your overall outcome. Then stay with you to check the result.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Good questions.

Can I use Kinch today?+

Kinch is in development. This website introduces the proposition and an illustrative product journey. Live connections, alerts, device automation and provider changes are not available through this site.

Can Kinch help me save without switching?+

That is central to the vision. Kinch would identify value within your existing arrangements: use your real off-peak windows, protect a discount, understand relevant benefits or assess a better arrangement with the same provider. It should recommend staying when a move would not improve your overall outcome.

What makes this more than a comparison or reminder?+

The intended experience combines understanding your current arrangements, timely personalised actions, market checks, approved fulfilment and outcome tracking. The relationship continues between comparisons and after an action. Several services already offer parts of this; Kinch's ambition is to bring them together around your household.

What would “automated savings” mean?+

Different actions need different permissions. Monitoring and relevant alerts would run in the background. A supported device schedule could run within rules you approve. A provider switch would require its own approval and execution pathway. Sending a notification alone does not prove that money was saved.

Will Kinch know what is happening in real time?+

A prompt for a known tariff window can arrive at the right time without a live meter feed. Dynamic prices and live device optimisation need supported fresh data. Market options would be reassessed as source information updates. Kinch should show when information was last updated rather than imply every source is live.

What is CDR, and why does it matter?+

Australia's Consumer Data Right lets customers authorise sharing of supported banking and energy data through regulated arrangements. Kinch is being designed around that permissioned access so information can be refreshed while consent remains active, reducing the need to upload a new bill every time. CDR is a foundation for the ongoing relationship; live connections still need to be established.

Is Kinch just for electricity?+

Electricity is the first focus. The vision is a financial companion across credit cards, NBN, mobile, home loans, general insurance, health insurance and other household commitments. Future features could assess existing-product value, monitor changes and coordinate worthwhile actions. Those categories are planned and each requires suitable data, product rules and fulfilment.

What does “agentic finance” mean?+

It means combining an ongoing understanding of your circumstances with proactive intelligence and authorised action. The companion would notice opportunities, explain why they matter and handle supported actions rather than leave you with another task list. You choose the permissions and remain in control.

What will Kinch cost?+

Pricing and the commercial model are being developed. Customer fees, market coverage and relevant commercial relationships would need to be clear. The proposition requires Kinch to value a worthwhile outcome even when you keep your existing provider.
